Hi All,
Hope you have all had an outstanding summer. Just like it is back to school, it is also back to work for the newsletter. Until the other day I was thinking I still had another week before the next ABODE so I could pull together a comprehensive collection of events and previous happening for the next addition of the newsletter. However the next meeting is actually tomorrow, September 8th!
I want to make sure are informed, if you know of someone who does not receive e-mails, can you give them the heads up for me.
I will have some hard copies of the newsletter at tomorrow’s meeting and will e-mail it to those not attending before the meeting.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me- 224-588-7034, cell

TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
Sad news about Elgin Windmill Antiques. It is my understanding that due to continued pressure from the city via Code Violations and more, Will Alexander from Elgin Windmill Antiques is ready to call it quits. Will was planning to host the November ABODE meeting at his store, however this will no longer be the case. As it is currently planned, a public auction will be taking place to liquidate the items in this store. It is currently planned for Saturday, September 19th . As soon as I have more details, I will distribute to everyone.
ANOTHER GOOD BYE
Today is the last day of Kiddieland’s weekday admission. Only 3 weekends left before the final good-bye. Just like those here that are native to Elgin and enjoyed Santa’s Village when growing up; Kiddieland was the same to anyone who lived in Chicago or near Chicago’s border . I know when I was in grade school, my dad would take me there at least once a summer…happy memories!
